THE SKILLS AND SECRETS OF THE MASTERS OF WEAVING
Baroque Tapestries from Ptuj Castle in Light of Their Creation and Conservation
This exhibition is dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the first textile conservation and restoration workshop in Slovenia and to the 130th anniversary of the Ptuj Ormož Regional Museum.
The Skills and Secrets of the Masters of Weaving is the third exhibition in a series of didactically designed museum projects that offer a wealth of educational and, above all, entertaining exploration of the world of museum items. The selection and display of yarn and fabric samples and various weaving techniques, as well as the presentation of conservation and restoration procedures are based on the exhibits in the Ptuj Ormož Regional Museum, which are thus presented from different perspectives.
