Ormož in Yugoslavia of Karađorđević and Tito
The historical exhibition entitled: Ormož in Yugoslavia of Karađorđević and Tito, contains two individual thematic units logically interconnected and the main aim of which is to show the modernization process and changes of the town on the Drava River.
The first unit displays the everyday life of the citizens of Ormož as a mirror of events going on in the Kingdom of the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, and later in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, governed by the Karađorđević dynasty. Special focus is put on the documentary film from 1935 made for tourism purposes, showing, among other features, the Majerič’s swimming-pool one of the most modern in then Yugoslavia.
The second part shows the post-war development of the town largely influenced by the charismatic personality of Josip Broz Tito.
