We cordially invite you to the opening of an international group photography exhibition featuring artists who shaped the development of distinctive artistic practices in photography in the CEE region prior to 1990. This evolution, which led from postwar propaganda documentary photography to today’s artistic photography, took place in various Central European countries, primarily in the former Yugoslavia, Hungary, the former Czechoslovakia, and Poland. The exhibition project *Outsiders and Outcasts* focuses on artists who, for various reasons, stood apart from the mainstream of photographic production in the former socialist countries.

Participating artists: Andrzej Baturo, Vladimir Birgus, Jindrich Štreit, Tone Stojko, Janos Szasz, Stane Jagodič, Gábor Kerekes, Ladislav Postupa, Rudolf Sikora, and Balint Szombathy.

The exhibition will be presented by Dejan Sluga, curator of the Photon Gallery.
