For Boris Žohar, the figure of the kurent and its ancient and mysterious mission in the world of mask culture have always been an inexhaustible motif and artistic inspiration for his artistic creation. The exhibition features his latest painting opus on the theme of the kurent and similar carnival masks from Slovenia and Europe, created in 2025 and will be exhibited for the first time at the Mihelič Gallery.

The artist and his work will be introduced by ethnologist Dr. Aleš Gačnik.
