An open-air cinema featuring cinematic highlights in a beautiful setting under the summer stars is a luxury we treat ourselves to at least once a year. Outdoor film screenings are an indispensable part of Ptuj’s summer cultural and social scene.

“Cinema Without a Roof 2026,” organized in collaboration with the Ptuj City Cinema and the Ptuj–Ormož Regional Museum, will take place in the picturesque courtyard of Ptuj Castle. Between August 11 and 16, we’ll watch six contemporary arthouse films of diverse genres from around the world in a beautiful setting under the stars.

All screenings are free of charge; in case of rain, they will be moved to the Ptuj City Cinema.
