Ormož Castle Outbuilding

Ormož Castle Outbuilding

The castle outhouse is a complex of several outbuildings constructed at different times since the 18th century. Historical sources indicate that the outbuildings once extended directly to the castle, but part of them was later demolished. The most beautiful rooms in the outbuilding are still adorned with preserved Tuscan stone columns and six pilasters in the museum section, and a barrel-vaulted hall on the ground floor of the music school. The outbuilding hosts exhibitions entitled From Toy to Urn, Medieval Sculpture from the Ormož Area, and The Pottery in Praise of a Potter.
