Medals, Small Works of Art from the Habsburg Monarchy

The exhibition, prepared as part of the events marking the 130th anniversary of the Ptuj Museum, presents selected objects from the museum’s overlooked collection. The commemorative medals without the character of money reveal the culture of different societies. The themes on the medals are depicted with secular and sacred motifs typical of the period from the 17th to the 20th century.

The exhibition will be on display in the Romanesque Palace of Ptuj Castle from 22 September 2023 to 3 December 2023.
