Painting Collection of Two Painting Colonies

During two painting colonies, which were organised following the initiative of Bojan Oberčkal, a collection of twenty paintings was created and exhibited in the Castle Gallery Ormož until the spring 2007. A few selected works can nowadays be seen in the staircase leading to the second floor of the castle. Painters that gathered for the first colony in 1998 were: Bojan Bensa and Andrej Pavlič from Ljubljana, Bogdan Čobal, Rado Jerič, Lučka Falk and Ervin Kralj from Maribor, Jože Denko from Murska Sobota, and Bojan Lubaj from Ptuj.

In 1999, within the framework of various events staged during the “Summer in Ormož”, the second painting colony was organised. The following artists participated: Jože Foltin from Ptuj, Branko Gajšt from Sestrže, Miro Hajnc from Radlje ob Dravi, Rado Jerič from Maribor, Ljerka Kovač and Janez Matelič from Koper, Bojan Oberčkal from Obrež, Zoran Ogrinc from Slovenj Gradec, Andrej Skrbinek from Slovenska Bistrica, and Domen Slana from Škofja Loka.
